PURE ANTARCTIC KRILL OIL

Krill is a tiny organism harvested from the icy cold waters of Antarctica - far from industrial pollution. The short life span and pristine environment in which the krill is harvested ensures that there are far fewer toxins and contamination in it.

FROM SUSTAINABLE RESOURCES

Using krill as a nutrient source is more sustainable than other types of fish oil, such as cod or salmon. A Krill supplier to the Onnit products company, he goes to great lengths to ensure that only Krill is caught and not other types of marine life. Thanks to their commitment to be as gentle as possible to the sea, they have received the certificate of the organization Friend of the Sea.

SOURCE OF OMEGA-3

Krill is extremely rich in omega-3. Omega-3s are essential fatty acids used by many systems in the body. "Essential" means your body can't make them on its own, so you have to get them from food or a supplement. The pristine environment in which krill is harvested makes it an ideal source of omega-3.

Sustainability

Using krill as a nutrient source is more sustainable than other types of fish oil, such as cod or salmon.

The biomass of krill, estimated at 600 million tons, is more than twice that of humans. Harvesting practices for krill for human consumption are strictly regulated and have minimal impact on the overall krill population and virtually no impact on its predators. Between 1990 and 2009, only about 1/10 of the 1 million tons of krill were caught. 6.6 million tonnes is the precautionary limit set for krill harvesting by the Conservation of Antarctic Marine Living Resources. The krill catch could increase nearly fiftyfold and there would still be enough krill for humans and their predators.
